Lost

Lost

A Poem by Mark
"

so many ways...

"
I've been lost where candles
splash movements on the trees.
Old gnarled arms and fingers
give me their scratch affection.

I've been lost on black ribbons
with painted lines white and yellow.
Green white signs laughing
giving me misdirection.

I want to be lost where
your smiles move and
chase laughter in the night
taking away my frustration.

I'm - not so sure it's ever a good thing to be lost, no matter how beauteous the path may seem. But yes, there are some days (including today) when we wish to be free of frustration.

Certainly to be lost in a woman's arms, or smile, or even her depthless eyes - can never be too much a thing where one would ask for directions to leave. :)

To be lost anywhere frustrations are lost sounds like a lovely place. Great write up.

Such subtle hues of lostness... in the dark or the light.. finding pain or joy... May we all get lost in the place of smiles and laughter.

I cannot add much more than what has been said previously. One of my favorite records is called 'Candleland'' and your poem has made me want to go listen to it once more. Thank you Mark, for this night eerie poem.
