Stay here

Stay here

A Poem by Mark
"

I was thinking, I really hate endings. I want to always stay in the beginning.

"
Your voice lit up my spine, glowing
I felt you and I, and it looked so never ending
you stood by, and I just flew by...
Couldn't we just stay in the beginning?

where the end is still an infinity
Couldn't we just pull a circle
round us here, and make hills
we could forever climb?

Can't the path always stay new?
while the pine needles turned to rust
Why does it always happen
the wall, the pain, the dust.

I wished and washed the sky away
pulling down blackness, outlining you
I fall in the dust every day
wanting to know, to know,
why beginnings always go.

I would hold you harder
if the time would only give up its sin
I would pray if it mattered
I wouldn't choose, I wouldn't lose
again.

I wished and washed the sky away
outlined in black; now you are void
I inhale your dust every day
I hardly remember you, us, the joy.

please, put back on those shoes
hold my hand so we can stand
and breath this air til it's new
let us start again, at the beginning.

Welcome :)
Does it really have to end?!

I thought this was a great piece, so much emotion and honesty here. It's beautiful. Beginnings are the best. I think, personally, we all have a lot to learn and we will make mistakes 'cause it's in our nature. Even as we get older we still learn new things, we have so many memories to keep and to share.

This was amazing, I loved it. It doesn't have to end...

A beautifully sad poem reminiscing over the shiny new part of a relationship. The expression you use allows the emotion to be palpable.

I adore the feeling of longing I get from this piece. Every line is so full of emotion and it's beautiful. Beginnings are the best parts. There are still mistakes to be made, things to learn, and memories to create. Ending is just the process of picking up the pieces from those mistakes and tucking all the memories away. This is a great write thanks for sharing! :)

Wow..so much here to touch a heart. Can't we start anew? Life happens...we work and struggle losing the freshness of love. Too go back to those days where things were simple and heady would be ideal. Beautiful poem Mark.. ;-)

thanks Red!!!! :)
Beginnings are so easy and carefree. The little distractions are overlooked. Full of regret and the wish for a time machine! Angi~
