be

be

A Poem by Mark

I can not save you
or even take your pain
why would I be god
when god clearly belongs to you?

To see your eyes and then look up ,
if the clouds and lights don't obscure it,
there you are, with them.

Their dust and their light
you have a disassembled life
be there,
be.

Self responsibility belongs to each of us. Yes we can not control everything but a large part of our life experience is a direct result of our choices and how we deal with them. When we stop expecting someone else to rescue us..to fix us then we take the drivers seat. That and faith will take us where we need to be.

Nickelback rocks. Thanks for reading :)
i like the abstract quality of this piece...

all that you own is there when you look up...

and pain is also yours to embrace...i cannot take that away from you...only god can, and you own him as he owns you.

there is that sense in this poem that we are responsible for our own feelings...we create them from our reactions to life...and no one can feel them for us or feel them instead of us.
