Sitting on the bankA Poem by MarkI've been told I think too much. If you don't think so, perhaps you think too much to!I sit by the river.
With sieve in hand, I search the sands looking for the sparkling moments, and the ones which were dark.
I wonder what they all mean and if their importance is only in the grainy memories of those who partook.
I sit and listen while My sculptures of sand that may or may not have any relationship with the actual events, laugh, and some cry.
Was it evolution that gave us this need for meaning?
Some day,
it will all be just sand again. © 2013 MarkReviews
