Where you went

Where you went

A Poem by Mark
"

Loneliness, my favorite subject, well perhaps more obsession really.

"
The fog closes in around
Sometimes I feel so alone
I just watch my feet touch ground.
Walk the ache out of my heart
my life twists and then turns
I wanted you to be a part
and still my heart, it yearns.
I'd turn my soul out to you
I'd climb until I was spent
Anything to make it true:
where I'm going is where you went.
Dusty roads, long turnpike rides
Feeling the wind blow me 'round
This feeling I hold still hides
then jumps out to put me down.
I'm tired of just coping
though I still got my smile.
Thinking of you and hoping
We'll be one for more than awhile.

Photo and words. A amazing poem. Sometime the lonely road can show us the way to a better place. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Great way to portray loneliness!

"where I'm going is where you went."

Love that line!
And I can relate to this poem right now. Though probably not in the same way as you. I love the sense of being lost and hopeless, yet obsessed with finding peace your poem gives off. Great work!

I really like this poem even though it makes me feel things I want to forget!

This is a vivid portrayal of such an emotion, suffocating in a way, in a good way though :)
I felt this, potently so...
Awesome piece xoxo

This line makes me think about - well about a lot of things - mostly loneliness. Longing for being one for more than a while.
The fog that surrounds you - alone - sadness, deep. I can't help but think of a deep think a grayness that enfolds your heart. This piece has more than sadness but a deep emotion, that burns into the soul. Very beautiful - very sad. A piece to relate to. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my! This made me sad. The first stanza hit me hard. The second stanza was just unfair...you can’t hit someone when they’re down! It’s just not right. I sincerely hope you don't feel this way anymore. I wish you all the happiness in the world. Maybe a little naïve of me but if that naivety makes you smile (really smiles...the kind of smile that shows in your eyes) then I will gladly be naïve!
