A Sailor’s Song

Each morning I wake up to live a new day
And when my eyes catch you on the bed next to me
I see all the happy moments to be
Your rosy cheeks welcome me like a bee
I sip all their nectar and you still agree
For me coming back to you my destiny
I stand then I dress up and you tidy me
Then we set off strolling, breathing heavily
You stand on the shoreline facing the sea
You wave me your farewell and I wave back thee
And upwards and downwards I leave with the sea
And each morning I wake up on a promising day
My eyes can not see you, still you with me
I see you in my mind, waiting hopefully
Your rosy cheeks keep singing for your destiny
Mermaids and whiles, singing back thee
Sealions and seagulls dancing in harmony
With each wave is coming souls are set free
For what the sea pulls in and takes it away
It gives it back one day, back to its bay
Then I’ll wake up loving each day
When my eyes keep seeing you next to me
