Stranger

Stranger

A Poem by Alecz

Inside of a room,
Tied down to a cot.
My eyes are taped open,
My mouth wired shut.

These memories, used for torture.
My smiles held against me.
Yearning for this to end,
My emotions start to strangle me.

My thoughts are like a boulder.
Working its way against me.
Sitting, on my chest.
Making sure I'm not able to breathe.

I've kept this all bottled.
Not a soul, has been told.
Now, it's causing my death.
Leaving you, without a word.

What's going to be your next move?
What more do you want?
We used to mean so much.
Now, it's just a taunt.

My body, now, exposed.
Showing you it's scars.
You turn back around,
Regretting your last move.

Now I am gone, forever.
My lifeless body laying there.
You're wishing you had more time.
But you threw the time away.
