InvincibleA Poem by Alecz
A broken bottle.
Broken words. Because of this broken heart. Swerving wheels Soon to be happening. They're haunting me, now. What's your excuse? What's your fight? A crying daughter, Laying next to you. A broken body, You didn't heed my warning. You didn't trust my tears. A nightmare is taking place... In this head of mine... Bottles are more to your worth. You're loved ones, you've left behind. You're gone, now. Washed away by your bottle. Where broken is an understatement... You hadn't thought of what could happen. Broken is a piece you may never find. While you're drowning in your flooded mind. Alcohol is your liquid paradise. Anger is all I may perceive. But I'm still here, mommy. Don't let the bottle take you. Take you where you don't need to be. Is this worth your risk? Your fun times may last 15 minutes. That is, until the car loses control. It ends up on its roof, And your laying on the ground, Begging for your life. Regretting the mistake I have warned you about. I have been begging you to stop. I have been begging you to be careful. But you never know how far you are willing to go, Until it is too late. You're laying there, In a car, On the road. Wishing you would have actually thought of the consequences. It's too late, mommy. I can, already, feel the tears running down my face. I haven't even got a call, yet. Yet, I'm hoping you will find your savior. One way, or another. As long as you're still here. Whichever way you find it, I hope you find it before its too late... © 2014 Alecz |
