Lavender Dreams

Lavender Dreams

A Poem by Jenna
"

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland and meadows

"
Heliotrope skies, whisper soft grass.
Cotton like clouds, slowly drift, slowly pass.

Birds soar overhead.
Pecking at my imagination like crumbs of bread.

The wind sweeps my skin.
Breaking my composure with a Cheshire grin.

Sapphiric rivers bubble and flow.
Bending, winding, nowhere to go.

Days spent being lazy amongst the flowers.
Everlasting sunshine, infinite hours.

My first novel I read was Alice in Wonderland...I always have fond memories of that book...I truly the couplets and the descriptive reference to the book...a nice take on an old classic.

A lovely vibrant and dreamy poem. If only everyday could be just as peaceful as lazy days among flowers, birds and trees.
