A shadow that doesn’t exist

Who cries in the dark

The shadow who follows, but never leads

Without a word to any.

The one who stays silent through an argument

Who gets pushed over without a say

Shadow, oh shadow, way in the back

Written by heart, an unknown work.

Shadow who prays

Alone at night

Moon streaking through

The foggy window.

Till the shadow smiles once more

An invisible wall shall stay

Till the next morning and the sun will rise

For the shadow will be seen.
