Last Day

Last Day

A Poem by Kristin

A classic ocean flows with the words he said.
A cherry blossom kissed upon my ocean’s reflection.
To bring a tear into his eyes, with the rushing stillness,
Represented by moonlight, a shadowed figure calls.
Without a whisper, a scream heard throughout my voice.
The stranger fell and faded away, to the sea’s pure glow.
As an angel strikes with Cupid’s bow, never to live again.
Hatred in the eyes of man, tainted our ocean so,
Blood river hands from the star’s demanding punishment,
For which not a word would be spoken, not even pain.
Shallow tears of mine ran into the river as his did too.
Cried and cried, over the memories.
Snow sprinkled and became my past.
Falling into the ocean of me, as I died no tragedy,
For truly my white sight haunted me.
Until I gave my heart away, for this was my last day.
