Questions Leading To You

Questions Leading To You

A Poem by Kristin
"

KMP** Dated: 2008. Questions, leading to the one who lied.

"

Why do you say hi, when your words are a lie?
Standing in the hopeless rain why do we live, when later we die?
Alone in the dark, no longer sane

Giggles and laughs, it’s all a game
Together we smile, but its all denial
Lurking in the misled shame
Why do we walk a mile, later sitting alone for a while?

Why does it snow when winter is done?
Summer’s fall toward the fallen knee
The children in the sand, no longer having fun
Why can’t you see, it’s always you and my heart doesn’t belong to me?

Turning away, when you come back today
Silence in the misled night
Grasping my hand with nothing to say
Bringing me to the angel’s light

Provoked by a witnessed foe
Why do you claim, when I’m already covered in shame?
Heartless wind, my life to go
Yet you still hold, the creature’s eyes left to tame.

Walking back to the clouded mind
I remember it all, just you and me
The unlocked treasure, never to find
Never a reflection in the distant sea

Why do you cry, when my last word was goodbye?
Seeing your face one last time, as I stand here and waited
When I look through a wounded heart, why can’t I just lie?
That I’m actually missing you, and my heart became tainted.
