I dont have time to chase metaphors

“I don’t have time to chase metaphors”
 or trace your eyes into flowers
to impress you into my bed,
It takes time to write this crap
and get my paper out of bed
just so it can lead me back to it.

I’ve wasted 12 years of pills
trying to read
when I could of used 12 years of pills
to write and not eat
to lose a belly
and look attractive

I don’t want to drink

It’s a downer
 and I don’t want my better half to be down  
when I have my paper out of bed
and pills to keep
pretty girls from school around.
