Wondrous, in heaven's armsA Poem by S.I.I.Inspired by Brave New World
And they will claim themselves wondrous, in heaven’s arms.
Matching every aspect of glimmer in their eyes to an aligning star. And inevitably they will stop and see you They will turn you sick, into the world they are haunted by your difference and originality! Hoping on hope that you will scare and others like you will become scarce This is evil at its core their falseness makes others seem unfair But life should be a fair But a there’s a fare we pay to get in. To be in the cultivated world, sheltered, loved and cared. Do you pay for it, or do you work for it? Does your water come from rain? Or from a faucet? The rain won’t stop if it comes from the air But the bills will keep pouring away And they will find you, die, and they will come for your children And they will pray for relief Or for your soul to rest well in heaven’s arms. the same arm’s that now sends your children bills. the same glimmering eyes that created soma and your last pills. © 2011 S.I.I. |
