Secrets Stay BehindA Poem by Inner RainCreatures scuttle about, jump about The wind is blowing through the trees The cold gives me nothing but doubt It is more a gale than a gentle breeze When will the snows come? Must the weather prolong my wait? A violin song is all i can hum No words to eat upon my plate There is no rain, no storm No ice and yet no warm fervor Icy cold fingers, a heart at war With the world and love's gardener The flowers all wilt and the branches bare The bushes tremble; in my heart a scare
