Close My Eyes Forever

A Poem

I want to lay in my bed and sleep
To be wherever you may be
But if i closed my eyes forever
Would i one day wake and find you next to me?

If all the world were young

Like our hearts once were

Would we sit and watch it all

Pass by as the autumn leaves fall?

If i could have one sole wish

A selfish dream to make true

I would close my eyes forever

Just to see me with you
