Clogs Of Time

Clogs Of Time

A Poem by Inner Rain
"

A Poem

"
The days are longer without you;
And the sunset, a dull hue.
Like a flower in bloom, wilting;
Once a vibrant scarlet, fading.

The moon is gone, like the stars;
So the hopeless night keeps our hearts.
Music floats in the air, candles twinkle;
The rain in the clouds pour, droplets drizzle.

There will be tears upon the leaves,
When the early dawn approaches.
Crystal clear glass, shatters;
Paper hearts, torn to tatters.

The clogs of time constantly turn;
Ever forward, ready to learn.
Like the dawn, ever rising;
Like a genuine gift, always surprising.

LOVED THIS, especially the first and last stanzas. The imagery is really impressive. It gives the reader a great mental picture and the parallel between the mood and the weather is well done. I really enjoyed the read.
