Lazy Early MorningsA Poem by Inner Rain
Noises fill the air
As the winter chill wastes away Tangles in my hair As i lounge around all day There is nothing to do "Nothing to be done" Nothing intricate or new Or a pocketful of fun The birds dance The winds are singing As i take a solemn glance At the world and it's doings There is news in the early morning paper, but none worth of note So i sit and sip my peppermint tea, neglecting my winter coat Noises fill the air As the winter chill wastes away Tangles in my hair As i lounge around all day There is nothing to see Nothing to feel I sit all day With my hand on my knee Another long day comes As i stay at home with me Nothing to feel Nothing to see Only to sleep And only to read © 2011 Inner RainReviews
