DespairA Poem by Inner RainA Shakespearean Sonnet
Sparkling gray in the damp and rainy night
The moon is as pale as my reflection But even much more luminous with light Than my plastic smile of lost-direction Shining are the stars looming high above The lake bearing light like refined silver But absent is my moon of tender love And no stars to be my peace-giver There are no more tree-roots to soak the rain No dear hands to halt my feverish wave Only I shall pine my wrath, rage and pain Until the time comes i cease to crave Lost and a relic of what i once known I am the child's-toy that he has outgrown © 2010 Inner RainAuthor's Note
