An Alfred Dorn Sonnet

To Lara, a name so amorous, i fret to say goodbye
Your scent monotonously echo through these paved streets
Where the "Kalesa" and the moon both straddle with one fashion
Tonight i write to you before morn, before, away i will fly
At the moon's topgallant i will quiver on my seat
But at sunset, i will chart a new map, its my passion

Promise to you, i do, to write about everywhere i go
So you will not tremor, and just so you know

Hold me, keep me with you, forever in your eye
In your patient and loving arms, to which i grow warm at the sight
I will think of you at night, in day, as long as there is sky
I will return, i wait upon such a day with my heart's delight

I hope that you will wait on me till that day
