Memory's Sunrise

Memory's Sunrise

A Poem by Inner Rain
"

A Shakespearean Sonnet

"
When the night is twitching and singing songs
The dreams of life start to dance in your mind
You know exactly where your heart belongs
Life is the journey that you left behind

Once the magic begins to quickly brew
Your memories sift making space for more
Memories so contagious, like a flu
Rapidly spreads, even more than before

There isn't a way to go back in time
Oh, but if one way shall ever arise
I'd make that memory and today rhyme
Without the nightly-dream's evil disguise

Again, your eyes will glisten in the starlight
And my mind and heart switch places with excite
