Insanity

Insanity

In one week's time, my memories will be remembered
Me, myself and i alone is enough to take such things and renew
Eight months of happiness in my peaceful misery
My glass is full, but i have been too thirsty to drink any

Glorious diamonds from fountain divine
Willfully overflowing, of stopping it shan't give a sign
Little temptation i possess to tip the jewels into my mouth
Sharp, jagged and difficult to swallow i have no doubt

Can one receive too much joy in such an inappropriate time?
Have i wanted too little to reject what is really mine?
The fountain it sings and says its enticing mutters
But i turn my lips away from such colorful waters

Insanity may it be
But when the fountain of life pours out too generously
We sometimes stop receiving, & become satisfied with out melancholy
