Run From Fear

Run From Fear

A Poem by Inner Rain

Deep in the walls of my dreary room
There i lay in complete peace an flowered-bloom
The glitter of the midnight moon is my friend
In my loneliness i can no longer pretend

Bat-winged birds flutter outside my soul
Waiting for the absolute moment to devour me whole
With the teeth shimmering silver sharks galore
In need of protection, may i ask for a little more?

Here in this terror is where i live and sleep
Here is the locket of all the secrets i keep
Spellbound, yet not found on a material of any kind
Nowhere else to be found, but within the caverns of my mind

Deep in the walls of my dreamy room
Alone with my passion and profound gloom
Not even the comfort of a place called "here"
Forever, can i ever run from fear?
