H.O.P.E (a Helpless, Obsessive and Personal Epidemic) - 10/10/09

Your heart it flutters with the wings of a butterfly
And you hold head up towards the sky
With a smile in your mind you cant contain
Then all of a sudden, on your face falls the rain

How many times has he failed you?
How many times have you tried to be someone new?
In your heart, you know you are helpless
Too little did this earth show you kindness

The hopes of life becomes your obsession
Yet all your life you have failed at your mission
Why do you still hold on with your heart?
When ahead of you, all you see is the dark?

You keep your hopes up so high, you see it fall on your face
You walk all day and night, to find better days
You keep reason your secret, even if it's really simple
Your lips are locked to your own, silence, deep and personal

Blindly, it spreads like illness, too much could be fatal
He loves me, he loves me not; you pull on flower petals
You swing high to low, high to low, dizzy, it makes you sick
There is no material cure for this cursed-epidemic

Good poem, very emotional, I really enjoyed reading it and at the same time, I really hope you're not experiencing what this poem says. I also love the meaning you give to H.O.P.E. Great writing.
