Lost in Time

Lost in Time

A Poem by Inner Rain

What time is it? And what day?
What decade? And in what year?
Standing here tongueless with nothing to say
Why has my whole world become anew?

How many minutes has past, since the last hour?
How many seconds has gone since the century?
Lying here bleeding with no wound, just a scar
Wondering in a desert of time, aimlessly never-ready

Where am I? And in what place?
A voice: "Don't worry you'll be fine..."
Every split-second, my mind flashes your face
"Baby! Come save me! I'm lost in time!!!"

This is very interesting, strange even. But that isn't a bad thing. I like the imagery: "tongueless with nothing to say," "bleeding with no wound, just a scar," "desert of time." It's a cool idea, being lost in time. I like it.
