Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Inner Rain

I am not afraid of what's under my bed
I am certainly not afraid of the dark
I am afraid of what dreams may mark
An i am definitely afraid of what goes on in my head

May it be lion or beast
I will not shake or tremble
For me, these fears are thimble
And they bother me the least

If it will be me, myself and I
I shall hide under the covers
Not working, is my counting-sheep-in-numbers
All night, i shall sleep with an open eye

I am not afraid of the alive or the dead
I am most certainly not afraid of the dark
I am afraid of the dreams on which i will embark
And i am definitely afraid of that somebody sleeping in my bed
