Silence

Silence

A Poem by Inner Rain

With all the whispered words in the world

To none all can this comprehensibly be compared

The sound of a silent tick-tocking clock

Within these four wilting walls

With a silence sleeping without a sound

And the mounted on mind of one's miserable man

Here i sit abreast from the blue's beastly hands

Waiting, wishing wishes no woman should wish for

Snake slithering silently under my silver door

In misery and mystery, i hear this and nothing more

This i heard, and i looked away, in the dark i shall stay

Death and desire dripping from neck waiting for day

When in the face of thimble fairness

This is the simple thing to thoughtfully think

You were yielded for a reason, and merely not one of season

Learn from this, this trip to the bottomless brink
