Moon PianoA Poem by Inner RainA Shakespearean SonnetThe moon piano's notes fill the starless night air A skin paler than any other woman you'll ever know There she is again with her charcoal black hair Playing out her torment and heart-some woe In the middle of the forest, there is no one to wake her Just the wind in the rain reminding her of what once was Listening to the rain and its message is what she would prefer Moonlight reflecting off her piano's black metallic gloss After a few lonesome hours each night The shadows of trees would all turn their faces away She notices, and her tune changes to one of excite Drenched in rain, moon in her eyes, playing for just one ray Then the moon's beams have finally broken through the fir So the rain glad fully begins to play the song for her © 2009 Inner Rain |
