Sorrow

Sorrow

A Poem by Inner Rain

I close my eyes, these tears they fly

Lonesome sitting on the rooftop at night

Nothing to be done but mutter and sigh

Whisper to me three words, and my heart will take flight

In this moonless night, here i softly wail

Holding on to this precious piece of you

Take my heart, club it through with a rusted nail

Pin it upon a wall far away from my view

This rain is not worth the sun you shine

Nevertheless i was meant to make you mine
