Blue Eyes

Blue Eyes

A Poem by Inner Rain
"

A Villanelle

"

Blue eyes, blue eyes
Why do you weep?
Blue eyes; why the sighs?

Blue eyes, don't believe their lies
They are cold and trash-heaps
Take this, dry your eyes

Blue eyes, blue eyes
Don't look to where they creep
Listen to my advice

Blue eyes, blue eyes
Wolves, dressed as sheep
They say nothing wise

Blue eyes, your ice
Look up to what the sun likes to seep
Don't be frozen by the Bise

Blue eyes; for the very last of times
Don't cry a river so deep
Come with me, before your hope dies
I'll take you to your castle in the skies
