Broken

Broken

A Poem by Inner Rain
"

A Shakespearean Sonnet

"

Many moments have already gone by
Hours of time have gone into the night
To these ears sweeter than sweet is a lie
Put out my candle, turn off this light

Dry the sea of its wishes
Hang the one who helped you up
Smash all the clean dishes
Make me drink poison from your cup

To you i dance upon nothing
Fortune-drained, sculpture of all you lies
And so forever worth killing
Heart is stabbed, Love is now its alibis

What is mine, is now broken
You have declared it forsaken

Magical.
The imagery was astounding.
I realize this is a sad piece but there is still something whimsical about it...a haunting innocence...
I can't explain it, but I truly enjoyed it.
Beautiful.

Very fun to read. Its almost like you have to read it a couple times before you can realize what message you are trying to portray. I love it!!! Very very very good write. Its hard to write Shakesperean sonnets as well, with a certain number of syllables and stuff. EXCELLENT job. Your a very talented writer :]

Oh this was so nice, its like declaring a life of chaos,of abandon..end of trip
Moments already gone by,Hours and hours gone into night
Put out my candle,Turn off this light..Dry the see of all the wishes
Hang the one whoever helped you up,smash all dishes
Make me drink that poison from your cup
To you I dance with nothing, heart stabbed
Love is all alabis,What is mine in never mine and broken
Ohh yes sometimes chaos is looking so nice,Declaring thats it ,no more,I ve had it
Sometimes just running wild and alone is so much wanted and called for..
I really loved this, with all the chaos,it so appealed to me
lovely write..
