Fear

Fear

A Poem by Inner Rain

You run, you hide,
You try to escape the feeling,
But it lasts within your skin.
It can hurt; it can burn,
It can freeze; it can tear you down.

“Don’t leave me!” you scream,
“Don’t forsake!” you cry.
The feeling rushes through your spine,
It torments your mind.

You shiver in cold,
You need someone to hold.
Your skin begins to crawl,
You ought to hold on.

“Don’t be afraid!” you say to yourself
“It won’t be long!” you say in strife.
Don’t’ give up; do not give in,
Fear must not ruin the rest of your life.

This is really nice. The quotes are a small setback. But other than that. This is really great.
Good job.
