In Remembrance…A Poem by InnerSpiritDedicated to the Only One I Loved then and I will Love Always, You know Who You Are.In Remembrance… Do you remember when life was but a fleeting moment, we
lived on whim, no circumstance too great for us to withstand? Do you remember when our weeping was a sufficient indication
to know what was wrong … or right? Do you remember how our suffering meant nil compared to the
world of trouble that was behind us? Do you remember us? Do you remember when our words were scattered little pieces
that placed together created the most powerful love story between a man and a
woman, ever created? Do you remember how careless our time was spent and how
reluctant we were to part each other’s side? Do you remember our love and how IT shouted from the mountaintops? Do you remember the memories we planted into each other’s
souls as reminders while we parted ways? Do you remember the time I wrote your name in the sand and
the waves crashed upon it but never washed you away? Do you remember the times we would stay on the phone "
clear across the states all night, into the morning, and we felt as if minutes
had passed? Do you remember my childlike smile when I awoke to see your
beautiful face? Do you remember when coffee together… when coffee meant
more than coffee and a lecture? Do you remember the tiny nibbles on the small of your ear…
other places? Can you recall the sweet taste of nectar left lingering on
your lips as you kissed me so gently goodbye … hello? Does your memory allow the recollection of the day you left
the sunshine for the mountains and the embrace was turmoil upon our souls? Do you remember how I fell so madly in your eyes and sank
so deeply into your soul that to remove me would create the death of two? Or the photograph our hearts took when we first felt the
others glance at the intersection of life? Perhaps you can find it in your memory to trace the steps
along our journey to remember who I am… to you. © 2012 InnerSpiritFeatured Review
