"Hey! Don't forget me!" called one of my four BFFs, Linzi.
Me and my other BFF, Ria were walking to breakfast at our middle school, WestWard Gnome Jr. High. Weird name, I know. But I've come to love it-in an awkward way. When we heard her voice, we both whisked around to see. "How could we possibly forget a girl as annoying as you?" I asked.
"Ha. Ha." Linzi answered sarcastically, as always.
"Actually, I thought it was kinda funny." We all were startled by the sudden voice. We looked and smiled, only to see my other two best friends in the whole wide world, Polina and Taryn. Taryn nodded agreeing-ly to Polina's statement.
Ria laughed. "That deserves a high five, Sarah!" and she held up her hand.
I smacked it and looked at Linzi. She looked pissed. Like she was about to explode. Ria changed the subject so we didn't have to put up with her nagging. "So..." she said quickly. Stepping in front of me with her back to Linzi. "Let's hurry and get to breakfast before all the cinnamon rolls are gone." she stammered fakely.
"Too late." Taryn replied. "Me and Polina just came back from there. Fresh out."
"Aww..." Linzi, Ria, and I said sadly.
"But." Polina said, answering our cry. "Me and Taryn here got the last two." And they pulled out giant, yummy cinnamon rolls. So sweet, you can get cavities just looking at them. All three of our mouths must have been drooling because Taryn said, "You want some?" We nodded.
"Well then, let's GO!!" cried Polina.
So that is how the morning went. Chatting and laughing with my BFFs, under a secret spot we found with a beautiful view of the rising sun. Savoring every bite of that beautiful roll made of cinnamon, cream, and fat. Mm-mmm!
