Chapter 1A Chapter by InkzA river of blood poured out from a gash carved onto the right shoulderblade. It was like a pool of death that surrouned her. The vibrations of pain soared through out the body, causing it to shake. Breathing quickened, as if the oxygen around was being cut off. The arms shot up over the face, in a defensive mode. The massive beast on top of her didnt seem to like the motion, for it barked in retaliation. The bark caused her to response back with a muffled scream. Razor sharp teeth launched themselves at the defensive arms. "Alexia?" the distant voice of a male called out. "Alexia" the voice called out again, though this time it was more demanding. Snapping back to reality, Alexia's gaze turned towards where the voice had come from. Her eyes landed on her spychologist, Dr. Vact. He was tal, about 6 feet. The ashblonde hair that resided on his scalp complimented his light grey eyes perfectly. The tanned tones on his skin were brely visible but it illuminated him. For a 42 year old man, he was trikingly handsome. "Do you rememberanything else?" Dr. Vact asked, leaning back against a brown leather chair so that he would be more comfortable. Had the chair been pushed back any further, it would hav crashed into a beautifully furnished bamboo bookshelf that wasnt all that tall, but carried various books. Alexia sat up from the velvet caramel colored futon he laid on. "That's all that comes to me. I dont even know if it really happened or if it was a dream." She shrugged and looked around the plain that she thought needed some colors other than brown and white. It seemed more like it belonged to a lawyer. Eeverythi piece of furniture wa fancy and expensive. From the light silky chocolate curtains to the gold imprinted desk name tag. For brown being a dull color, it sure made fancy seem unuffordable. Dr. Vact began taking notes, writting them down on his notepad. His right hand departed from the notepad shortly after, so that he could look at the time on his gold watch. "Don't worry" Dr. Vact began, "You and Rhoan went though a lot, these things take some time." Alexia snorted and turned her attentio back to Dr. Vact, "Yeah, yeah. I hear it every other session i come to." Dr. Vact laughed, "You're different then all myother patients." Alexia grinned, "What? Am I the only one that calls out the bullshit parts?" A slow, teady hand reached over to ruffle Alexia's hair, "That' what makes you different," he began, "You're not afraid to speak your mind." Alexia pushed his hand away with a smile on her face, "I jut call em a I see em." Dr. Vact placed hi pen and notepad next to him on a khaki colored desk, crossing hi arms and letting his lips part so that once again he could speak, "So yours and Rhoan's birthday is comming up, anything planned?" Alexia placed her hands underneath her legs so that she could swing them back and forth. "Eh? We're jut gonna visit uncle Tim" she answered. Dr. Vact arched an eyebrow, "You're turning 21, you should go out and get drunk, or other things people your age do." Alexia snickered, "As much fun as puking my guts out and loosing a third of brain cells sounds, I think I'll pass. Besides, last I checked, people my age remember who they are and know their past." The conversation was interrupted by a firm knock on the door. "Come in" Dr. Vact responded. The door opened, revealing a small asian woman. She was well curved, with long black hair. The green eyeshadow perfectly placed on her eyelids made her big brown eyes pop out. "You're wife is on line one" she said softly. Dr. Vact nodded in acknowledgement. "Thank you MeeMee." Meemee bowed politely and turned to walk away, closing he door behind her. "That's my cue" Alexia said as she pushed herself off the chair. Alexia made her way to the door, with Dr. Vact following behind her. "Tell your brother, I wont accept excuses this time." Alexia laughed as Dr. Vact opened the door, "Later Vic." Dr. Vact's smile grew wider as he shook his head. © 2010 InkzAuthor's Note
