A Dream Seen Once

A Dream Seen Once

A Poem by Ah Lecks
"

Vivid nights

"
My world.
I gain the rush from it,
the powers that flow from it.

To gain the right of persuasion,
even to the forces of nature.
Convert clouds to their tears,
or the bright rays to the lunar.

Or the right to touch the sky,
reach the clouds I could convert,
push through their tears,
or through rays of light or moon.

My world,
so easily ripped from sight,
and shoved back into groggy reality.
Wish I could relive that dream.

Dreams are a powerful force in your work, I enjoyed the last stanza, it is all to real. Thanks for sharing

Your last line there was breathtaking! I'm right with you here.. if my soul lived somewhere apart from me, it would be in a forest. One with the Earth and the sky, forever a ghost drifting on the wind. And I live by dreams, as I cherish them. What little sleep I can get is what I live by. I was rushing to the end and had to reread your poem a few times to absorb all of the emotion that you created in so few lines. I can't wait to read your other work.
