Five Green Kings

Five Green Kings

A Poem by Inkybro

Five great kings of leafy green
in castles built with glass,
filled with flame and filled with smoke,
burnt away at last.

They journey far, they journey wide,
through water, time and space.
Into the great giant's mouth;
to their resting place.

Absorbed by tiny suction cups,
and sent into his brain,
to fix the way he sees his world,
and bring about a change.

Feeling quite right at last,
the giant lays to rest,
and falls into the deepest sleep,
'til no more sleep is left.

Then he stands and rubs his eyes,
and peers around the lands,
and thanks the Gods for those five kings,
that make him feel so grand.
