Xila's Sonnet

Xila's Sonnet

A Poem by Inkybro

Through dark night's call and windless days I walked,
The clouds draining their clear demise to earth,
And for many dull miles I simply talked,
And counted all the memories of hurt,
With no home I felt weathered and alone,
But I could feel the heat of many eyes,
And as I rested I could hear a drone,
Breaking the dead silence of the cold night,
Sweet dreams of fields and forests came to me,
In another land where wanderers wave,
Where smiles and gladness are all to see,
And one doesn't count away the long days,
The drabness of it all brings me far down,
To a point where I dwell only in sound
