Rose Petal

Rose Petal

A Poem by Brandon Wile

Intricate letters written

Curves accented within

Akin to those of her body

Always luring me away

From the place in my mind

Where I was ashamed

Until I found beauty in hers

Too deep to escape

I wanted to go back

To the smell of her hair

And conversations over coffee

Where my hair stood on end

Oh these blissful thoughts..

Cold tile meets bare feet

Rose petals on silk sheets

Tokens of lovers and friends
