That's how I feel though, a million light years away from home

I want to leave an impression. Be my memory foam when I'm here

so that I'm comfortable when you're near

Just think about it. We're a million miles out, I'd hate to have to go back in

This feeling, it's real, it's authentic. If I said it, then I meant it

I go numb, I knew this moment would come

my chest sinks in and pops out, but all I feel is no doubt

Well here it is being handed to you with two arms out like open doors

It's funny, back before we met I used look at you from afar and my mouth would go ajar

that crazy blood rushin' feeling that all I wanted was to meet you,

and even though I'm glad that I got to, now I'll have to keep looking from far away

now it's the only way; we couldn't have known this outcome would be our own

all I ask is that you live your life, but eventually, bring that heart back home

I want this to be a song. That being said I don't really know how to write a song, but I do know that some are a lot like poetry, so tips on that would be great, as well as anything else that comes to mind!
