One Blast

One Blast

A Poem by Inked Superman

I know all too well the feel,
I have tasted the cold steel.
That chamber in my mouth,
Ready for a trip down south.
Finger laid there on the trigger,
The fear inside growing bigger.
Different from the past times,
One blast to end the rhymes.
A little squeeze to end the pain,
The thoughts in my head slain.
Deep breath in, sigh, now no damns,
Squeeze trigger, click...... it jams.
Drop the gun and I begin to cry,
What in the hell did I just try.
Now tears flooding the floor,
Wishing help was at the door.
Scared and feel completely alone,
Would anyone care if I was gone.
Drag myself to bed and try to sleep,
Price I almost paid was to steep.
Close my eyes to my inner cries,
Hope over night the pain dies.
Hope to wake up to a new day,
One that I can feel a new way.
