Life’s StuffA Poem by Inked Superman
My dreams becoming hard to construe,
Make me question the things I do. I know I have so much to be thankful for, Just seems like my heart stats sore. I have a little house built from the ground, But it’s nothing that is very profound. Have a truck, job, and all life’s little stuff, But something makes me feel not enough. Maybe I just judge myself a little too much, Maybe what I want is not out of touch. Just seems all I am ever able to find, Are people that to a future are so blind. They only look for what comes that night, Nothing any further is in their sight. Others think I am only after that one thing, It’s wrong, I am after more than a fling. Ready to find the one to make things work, Someone looking for that one real perk. Till then I have to fight this doubt inside, The one that tells me to just run and hide. Have to stand and keep my head up high, Keep proving that I am a nice guy. Know I am never going to have the looks, That they talk about in all of the books. Always do what I can and know at least, One day she will see past the outer beast. © 2018 Inked Superman |
