Let My Pen Write

It's never much of a fight,

Just focus, let my pen write.

Never felt like I was too smart,

But somehow words always start.

Haven't wrote recently, minds a blur,

Till now, as my emotions start to stir.

You seem so unlike any other,

I wonder what will be further.

I have known you for so long,

Have always seen you as strong.

Always wanted to spend time together,

But I was never much of a bellwether.

We hung once a good while back,

But I was lazy and let myself slack.

You went and tried things with him,

Knew then my chances were grim.

Then you came and were back around,

This time I'm stronger I have found.

Hanging out with you felt so grand,

Felt nervous as I held your hand.

Whole night I felt an inner bliss,

Whole time wanted to lean for a kiss.

Seems like we are so much alike,

Will this be another third strike.

Wonder will you give me a glance,

Possibly give us a trying chance.
