Rabbit Hole

Rabbit Hole

A Poem by Inked Superman

Wasn't seeing my own show,
So how was I to even know.
I can now see it took it's toll,
Never even saw the rabbit hole.
Not till I had fallen down in it,
And felt when the floor was hit.
Nothing but the doom and gloom,
Couldn't see a light in the room.
This time was different from before,
I had a friend show me to the door.
Was just sitting in that dark place,
Till he slapped me across the face.
Made me see all that was there,
Realized all the people that care.
Not normal for me to wear a frown,
Jest felt like I was about to drown.
Inside there my peace had been stole,
But leaving my pain inside that hole.
Now I am out and starting to be about,
Not going back there without a doubt.
Too much for me to not get a win,
Filling that hole, no way back in.
Dark, broken, and with no will to try,
No I will not be that kind of guy.
Happy, laughing, putting up a fight,
I'm the guy now walking in the light.
