Rust

Rust

A Poem by Inked Superman

Said nothing as my emotions stacked,
Till I was pushed and my mind cracked.
Life had definitely taken it’s toll,
I felt that my soul had become dull.
Was starting to slip away from my smile,
Needed to reset that internal dial.
Like tin my soul began to rust,
Not knowing who in life I could trust.
The rust would corrode me from within,
So far that I couldn’t even use a pen.
My mind was in a constant blank dark,
Just needing to see some kind of spark.
Then I must of looked like a huge nerd,
She entered my mind and I lost every word.
I know I saw her in a beautiful gleam,
But I thought it must of been just a dream.
Now whether or not it ever comes to be,
All I can think is what she thinks about me.
Is there a chance to see if things can work,
Why was she able to bring back my smirk.
Now all I can do is live and wait,
To see what there is in my fate.
