Something Strange

Laying here thoughts of us in my head,

Lay here reading notes around my bed.

Know they were written in a past time,

Taking them down feels like a crime.

They remind me of some better days,

Back before I lost the suns bright rays.

Now the dark begins to take the light,

No longer am I feeling all is right.

A new beginning I must try to start,

This is just another crack on my heart.

I know what is going to be in store,

I have been here few times before.

This time though I will have his grace,

I won't fall back to that dark place.

Odd though, this time I feel a change.

A feeling that seems all too strange.

Something different in my world it seems,

Something fighting from within my dreams.

Not sure where the world goes from here,

Just know I will walk through without fear.

I feel a strength that has come from within,

Something that makes me have a grin.

I have the strength to let everything go,

What it is I don't quite exactly know.

Is it a person that is shining a light,

Someone whose not yet in my sight.

Or could it be someone I haven't thought,

Someone my eyes have not even sought.

All I know is that they've made me strong,

I know this feeling can not be at all wrong.

Have to embrace night thoughts it seems,

To understand the strength in my dreams.
