Lonely Road

Lonely Road

A Poem by Inked Superman

Feeling my screws start to rattle,
Am I now fighting a losing battle.
Feels like we talk less day to day,
Like there is a loss of words to say.
Is this over before it even began,
Did I fail everything in my plan.
Afraid to let down all my guard,
You're stuck with a choice that's hard.
Depending on the way that you choose,
Will be if I will win or again I lose.
Was told I didn't have to have a worry,
But that changed, it's my normal story.
Seems like it is always the same,
People leave as fast as they came.
Do I go back to feelings like stone,
Talking to myself and staying alone.
Ignore the chance that was stole,
Just crawl back into the dark hole.
Brace for the coming stormy weather,
Fear losing anymore time together.
Afraid of the choice you may make,
But i know what is all at stake.
I know there is nothing that's owed,
Just afraid of that long lonely road.
