The Corner

The Corner

A Poem by Inked Superman

You're hit in the face like a skelp,
When they ignore cries for help.
Too focused on their own lives,
That they miss your subtle cries.
Only care is getting a point across,
They can't see you're at a loss.
So you go to your corner alone,
Feelings of isolation are grown.
All you need was just a friend,
A shoulder for them to lend.
Instead blown away like a smoke,
Dispersed as if it were a joke.
You're entire worlds been rocked,
But all you got was just mocked.
So you retreat to your corner alone,
See your demons and you atone.
Cause when life falls off the track,
They have always had your back.
Now you see how things all end,
How they're your only real friend.
So now to try and act as if alright,
All the while inside your in fright.
Let them think you're a mourner,
Accept the demons in your corner.
Now you and the demons can revel,
Now you can accept your inner devil.
