A Fighter

Can she look beyond sight,
See that I'm willing to fight.
Show her that being alone,
Is a feeling that can be gone.
Can she look beyond the skin,
See that I'm willing to go all in.
See that I'm not afraid to fight,
For her smile that shines bright.
Know she has her own past too,
But no matter, fighting I will do.
Knowing that typical, I am not,
But a fighting hearts what I've got.
Her smile, hair, and lovely eyes,
Enough to clear the darkest skies.
I close my eyes for words to say,
Just waiting, saying one more day.
Now I understand & I take a stance,
I just pray to God I have a chance.
Now sunlight turns into the night,
Read this knowing I fear no fight.
