God & The DevilA Poem by Inked Superman
I've spoken with God and the Devil,
Neither were on the same level. The Devil said " Go out and have fun", God told me "Just stop and wait son". To God I didn't listen just fearing pain, Devil was nothing but failure to gain. On my knees I look up to God and plea, Asking him "Father please let me see", He began with the past that I chose, Then showed me how well all that goes. I broke down asking him to reveal, A life I turn from all my own evil. He showed me I had chosen the easy way, every choice up until this chosen day. Whether it was by luck or by fate, I've met you and learned how to wait. Instead of my normal moving really fast, I refuse to repeat the mistakes of my past. Now I'm asking God "What should I do", His answer is give patience for me and you. In time I don't know what will come to be, But for you, I'm willing to wait and see. Deny another easy choice from the Devil, Endure God's wait, praying while I kneel. My heart trusting his choice for my fate, Looking up as I hear his words "Just wait". © 2016 Inked Superman |
